Dominican authorities arrested a man accused of murdering two people and seriously wounding a minor in a residence in the Brisa del Este sector. The detainee is identified as Montero Encarnación, 36 years old.
According to the police report, the deceased victims are María Morillo Morillo, 45, and her daughter Elisabeth Ulloa Morillo, 17. Both were found with numerous injuries caused by a sharp weapon inside their home. A third person, a 7-year-old girl whose identity is being withheld by legal provision, also suffered injuries and is receiving medical attention at a health centre.
Colonel Diego Pesqueira, spokesman for the National Police, presented evidence related to the case during a press conference. The authorities announced that they would provide further details about the incident from the Police Station in Los Mina.
Images released show the alleged perpetrator, José Francisco Montero, at the moment he was being taken to the Felicidad de Los Mina police station for the relevant procedures.
The incident has caused distress in the area due to the violence inflicted on the victims and the presence of a minor among those affected.
