A joint operation between criminal investigators and prevention officers resulted in the capture of an individual linked to a violent robbery committed in the Gurabo area of Santiago de los Caballeros during the morning of a recent Wednesday.
The arrested man is named Raimon Reyes Díaz, nicknamed "Ray". According to a report published by De Último Minuto, the accused is alleged to have intimidated a person with a pistol to take his two-wheeled vehicle, his smartphone and his documents.
The search was carried out in an area known as Hoya de Caimito. There, uniformed officers managed to locate the suspect and seized the weapon used in the incident. They also achieved the recovery of the stolen items.
Subsequently, the officers corroborated that the returned items were indeed those that the victim had reported as lost in his complaint. Reyes Díaz was turned over to the authorities of the Public Ministry along with the seized items, whilst investigators continue to look into the details of the incident.
