Father shot dead in front of his 8-year-old daughter in Guayaquil

Yeshua Manuel Calderón Herrera was shot dead on 27 June 2026 in Guayaquil whilst heading to visit his eight-year-old daughter at the home of his former partner, according to teleamazonas.com.
According to police information, several men on a motorcycle were waiting for the man's arrival in order to shoot him repeatedly. The attack occurred at approximately 17:40 and resulted in the immediate death of the victim.
The child, who was sitting on a piece of furniture on the pavement at the time of the attack, was struck by a bullet to the chest. She was immediately taken to a health centre.
Investigation officers attended the scene to collect evidence. The authorities are investigating the incident.
