Police operation in Quito seizes over 200 kilos of controlled substances

A law enforcement action resulted in the seizure of 206 kilograms of controlled substances in the Ecuadorian capital. During the procedure, three people were arrested, who are alleged to be members of the criminal group known as Los Lobos.

The operation, named Operation Zero Impunity 19192, was carried out at various locations in Quito. Officers managed to locate a property that, according to investigations, served as a storage facility for the drugs. Additionally, a vehicle was seized that is believed to have been used to transport and distribute the controlled substances across various areas of the city.

Of the total substances seized, 53.8 kilograms correspond to cocaine, while 153.1 kilograms are cannabis. The detainees will face investigations for their alleged participation in the illicit trafficking of these substances.
