Man arrested in Alcázar de San Juan for break-ins at electrical material companies

Arrested after fleeing in van with stolen electrical material

The National Police detained a man in Alcázar de San Juan, Ciudad Real, accused of committing break-ins using the butrón method at electrical material establishments and companies, according to larazon.es.

The arrest came after officers pursued a vehicle that attempted to escape at high speed to avoid being intercepted. Inside the car, officers found the stolen material.

The subsequent investigation linked the detainee and the cargo van used to at least one break-in at a local company, from which a significant quantity of electrical material was taken. Evidence collected by the Scientific Police Brigade of the National Police identified both the suspect and the vehicle as perpetrators of the crime.

The investigation also suggests that the arrested man is part of an organised criminal group specialised in this type of offence. Members of the organisation meticulously planned the robberies: they analysed the physical characteristics of the establishments and their security measures before executing the thefts in a matter of minutes.

The same van was linked to other break-ins with similar characteristics committed at different points across the country.

The investigation remains open with the aim of identifying and locating the remaining members of the organisation, as well as clarifying other pending cases related to the group.
