According to the allegation, a 50-year-old woman struck an adult man on the head with an axe on Saturday, 20 June, in a detached house located in Linnavuori, Nokia. Police received a report of the alleged violent crime at approximately 15:00, according to Iltalehti.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment. According to police, the victim is not currently in a life-threatening condition. The woman and man knew each other beforehand.
Police took the woman into custody on suspicion of committing a crime and she is suspected of attempted murder. Police are continuing their investigation into the events.
