The Central Finland Police Department states it is investigating a suspected attempted murder in Nokia. According to the suspicion, a 50-year-old woman struck an adult man in the head with an axe on Saturday, 20 June, in a private residence in Nokia Linnavuori.
Police received a report of the suspected assault at approximately 15:00. The man was taken to hospital for treatment. According to police, the victim is not currently in a life-threatening condition.
The woman and man knew each other previously. Police detained the woman on suspicion of the act, and she is suspected of attempted murder. Police are continuing their investigation into the events.
