Armed attack in Kolonos: 36-year-old injured, four cartridge cases and two detentions
A 36-year-old of Albanian origin was shot on Lenorman Avenue on Friday evening and collapsed bleeding. Two people were detained as suspects.

An armed attack with an injured victim occurred shortly after 20:30 on Friday evening on Lenorman Avenue, in the Colocynthus area of Kolonos. According to To Vima, the victim of the attack is a 36-year-old of Albanian origin, who was shot near the Church of the Crucified.
Witnesses who spoke to Orange Press Agency placed the exact location of the attack on the bench behind the church. The injured man, after being shot, attempted to flee on foot.
Collapsed bleeding on the roadway
The 36-year-old covered a distance of approximately 100 metres before collapsing. He headed towards a parked vehicle that is believed to have belonged to him, however he was unable to reach it and fell bleeding on the road, calling for help.
An employee at a shop in the area, who arrived at the scene immediately afterwards, described what she witnessed to Orange Press Agency: "We saw the man crossing the road, he stopped there at a parked car, he asked for 'help, an ambulance'. They called an ambulance, as long as I was talking he left as he was afterwards. He went down a bit further and then police arrived, everything that is, it all happened bang-bang. I don't know what happened further down. Did he have his car? Did he try to get into his car? I don't know, the ambulance took him, I don't know anything else, because I also had work to do."
Regarding the shots fired, she mentioned that she heard some noise without being able to determine its origin with certainty: "Something was heard, I didn't hear it completely clearly, but I heard where they said 'shots fired, shots fired'."
Four cartridge cases and a mobile phone
Police officers rushed to the scene and conducted an extensive examination. During the investigation, at least four cartridge cases were found, as well as a mobile phone that was found lying on the ground.
Two detentions — investigation ongoing
Two people have already been detained in connection with the incident, who are being questioned by the authorities as suspects for possible involvement in the attack. The police investigation is ongoing, with the aim of establishing both the circumstances of the incident and the motives of the perpetrators.
