Robbery with a club against 14-year-old in Pyrgos – Five arrests, including two mothers
Two minors attacked a classmate with a club in a square in Pyrgos, Ilia, and stole his mobile phone. A total of five people were arrested, including the mothers of the perpetrators.

On Wednesday afternoon, in a square in Pyrgos, Ilia, a 14-year-old was attacked by two classmates, who struck him with punches, kicks and a club to the head, before stealing his mobile phone and fleeing. According to Dikastiko.gr, during the attack the victim's mobile phone fell to the ground and the two perpetrators picked it up before leaving the location by car.
The vehicle belonged to an adult woman who, according to the Greek Police (EL.AS.), was allegedly present at the incident. One of the two 14-year-olds is also accused of insulting and threatening the victim during the attack, according to what the newspaper "Patris" reports.
Investigation and arrests
Following the report, police officers from the Pyrgos Prosecution and Crime Investigation Unit, in cooperation with the Prevention and Mediation Team (OPDI) of the Pinaios Police Station, located and arrested the two 14-year-olds and the adult woman.
A case file was drawn up against them for bodily harm, theft, violation of weapons legislation, insult and threat. As part of the same investigation, the mothers of the two minors were also arrested on charges of neglecting the supervision of a minor.
Next steps
All those arrested are expected to be brought before the Prosecutor of the District Court of Ilia. For the 14-year-old who was the victim of the attack, a forensic examination was ordered at the Forensic Service in Patras, in order to document the bodily injuries inflicted upon him.
