Pizza Fan: Bank account freeze lifted – restaurants to reopen
The Financial Crime Investigation Authority approved the reopening of the Pizza Fan chain. Bank accounts are being unfrozen to cover wages, supplier payments and debts to the state.

Bank accounts unfrozen at Pizza Fan – reopening approved
According to Ethnos, the Financial Crime Investigation Authority has granted permission for Pizza Fan restaurants to reopen, lifting the freeze on the chain's bank accounts.
The decision was signed by the Authority's head, Charalambos Vourliotis, a former deputy prosecutor at the Court of Cassation. Through this decision, two bank accounts are being unfrozen so that financial obligations accumulated as a result of actions by the chain's owner, who is in pre-trial detention, can be met.
Which debts does the decision cover
The account freeze lift concerns financial claims from both employees and third parties. Specifically, according to Vourliotis's decision, in addition to payroll accounts – which had been exempted from the outset from the general freeze measure – additional accounts are being unfrozen to cover debts to:
- suppliers
- employer social security contributions
- loan obligations
- debts to the state
In this way, all outstanding issues that had arisen from the detention of the chain's owner are being resolved.
