According to In.gr, police officers from the Minor Protection Subdivision of the General Police Directorate of Attica arrested a 52-year-old Greek citizen in the morning hours of Thursday, 30 October 2026, in an area of Attica, on charges of child pornography.
The arrest resulted from an extensive preliminary investigation into offences against sexual freedom and dignity. The authorities established that the accused possessed a large number of files containing pornographic material depicting minors, a fact that led to his detection and arrest.
During a search of his residence, a large number of digital evidence items were seized, as well as a sum of money of €3,555. Police identified a digital folder containing over 3,900 files of pornographic content, some of which depicted minors aged up to 12 years old.
The 52-year-old was brought before the competent prosecutor.
