Slovak man suspected of ATM bombings arrested in Budapest car park
A 28-year-old Slovak national with multiple criminal convictions has been detained in Ferencváros on suspicion of bombing and robbing several ATMs in Slovakia.

Hungarian investigators arrested a 28-year-old man in a car park in Ferencváros on suspicion of bombing and robbing several Slovak cash machines in May this year, police announced on their website on Wednesday, according to HVG.
The man fled to Hungary after the bombings and hid in a Budapest property. Following alerts from Czech and Slovak authorities, Hungarian investigators identified and located the suspect. It emerged that he had previously been convicted of armed robbery and other serious crimes, and Slovak authorities had issued a warrant for his arrest.
During the raid, officers seized numerous pieces of evidence: a mask, a headlamp, stolen number plates, a bulletproof vest, gloves, an air gun, a timing device, radio remote controls, and blasting caps.
The man was taken into custody and proceedings were initiated against him on suspicion of misuse of explosives or explosive devices. Hungarian police are still negotiating with foreign authorities regarding his extradition.
An ATM bombing also occurred in Slovakia on Tuesday morning, but based on the police statement, the man arrested on 12 June could not have been involved in this incident.
