British man goes missing from Budapest entertainment venue – police search for John Tovell
A 45-year-old British citizen went missing in the early hours of 16 June from an entertainment venue in District VII. Budapest police are requesting information about his whereabouts.

According to 24.hu, the District VIII Police Headquarters of the Budapest Metropolitan Police has opened a case regarding John Robert Joseph Tovell, who is in an unknown location.
Based on available information, the 45-year-old British citizen left an entertainment venue in District VII at approximately 2 a.m. on 16 June 2026 and has given no sign of life since. Police are currently actively searching for him.
Tovell is approximately 190 centimetres tall with short grey hair and a beard. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing black trousers, a black T-shirt and a dark green long-sleeved shirt.
