Hungarian police have arrested a 30-year-old man from Budapest who allegedly collected human remains from abandoned cemeteries and from his workplace, a hospital.

Hungary's National Investigation Office arrested a 30-year-old man in Budapest on 17 June after receiving information that he had stored human remains at his workplace and home.
The man worked as a nurse in a hospital – according to a police statement released Tuesday.
During a search of the man's flat, investigators seized skulls, an entire lower leg and a hand, as well as a human face reconstruction made from facial skin. Additional bones were found in a suitcase.
A heart was also recovered in a preserving jar, the origin of which – whether human or animal – is still being investigated by police.
During questioning, the man admitted to collecting body parts and said that he was particularly attracted to human remains, and even prepared food from them and ate them.
He is being held on suspicion of unlawful use of human bodies.
In its statement, police wrote that the man "has a keen interest in anatomy and pathology, and likes to dissect animals".
It is suspected that he obtained the body parts through his hospital work and by exhuming corpses in "abandoned cemeteries" in Slovakia and Hungary.
Police seized the man's computers, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, SIM cards and data cards.
All body parts that were found will be examined by forensic experts, and police added that the range of offences may expand once the origin of all the body parts has been established.
