Investigators dismantle family drug operation in Fejér County

The National Investigation Office of the Emergency Services Police (KR NNI) uncovered a drug-trafficking group operating on family foundations in Fejér County – according to a statement on Police.hu.

The investigation revealed that the suspects were related to one another and jointly organised the acquisition and distribution of prohibited substances. The members of the criminal organisation regularly sold drugs in the region.

Police officers conducted searches at multiple locations where they seized drug-suspicious materials, scales and packaging materials. During the operation, several individuals were taken into custody on suspicion of drug trafficking.

Staff from the KR NNI conducted the operation under the framework of the Delta programme. The programme aims to reduce drug trafficking and dismantle criminal organisations in Hungary.

Proceedings have been initiated against the suspects for the crime of drug trafficking. The offence is punishable by serious imprisonment.
