A 58-year-old man was arrested in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county after committing robbery at the home of a local resident. Police identified and apprehended the perpetrator in a short time, and he admitted to the offence during questioning.

The incident began on the morning of 4 June at the local market. The victim encountered the man at around 7:10, when he asked her to exchange his small-denomination notes for larger ones. The woman was unable to comply with the request. When she returned home later, around 7:30, the man was already waiting outside her house. The woman entered the building, locked the door behind her, and paid no attention to the man.

However, the man suddenly appeared in the kitchen and, shouting "Give it, give it!", rushed at the woman, who fell against the cooker. He then overturned her bag onto the table, took the wallet, which contained 11,000 forints and personal documents.

Officers from Jászladány Police Station found and brought in the suspect in less than an hour. During questioning, the man made a confessional statement. It emerged that he had previously been convicted of robbery and is currently the subject of another theft investigation. Authorities recovered the stolen items.

Investigators placed the man in custody, and the court ordered his remand.
