Arson investigation launched in Tiszaroff
The police force of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county has opened an investigation into a local fire incident on suspicion of attempted murder. The case was opened for investigation on 17 June following a citizen report.
According to the authorities, a middle-aged man and his elderly mother lived together in a property in Tiszaroff. It is suspected that the man poured flammable liquid throughout the flat and then caused a fire. The mother sustained burn injuries.
Investigators apprehended the suspect, against whom criminal proceedings have been initiated. Further evidentiary proceedings are ongoing.
