Police in Szekszárd arrested a 44-year-old man who was evading nearly five years' imprisonment by hiding on a farm in Kölesd.

According to a police.hu report, police in Szekszárd arrested a 44-year-old man on Tuesday evening who failed to report at the designated time to begin serving his sentence. The court had sentenced him to nearly five years' imprisonment, but the man did not report to the penal institution. Consequently, the penal service requested police assistance in apprehending him.
Police were already familiar with the man due to his criminal offences. They searched his registered address several times but did not find him there. The local district officer eventually obtained information that the fugitive might be hiding on a farm near Kölesd.
Officers arrived at the location on Tuesday evening, where they found the man in hiding. Following his arrest, he was taken into custody and transported to the designated penal institution, where he began serving his prison sentence.
