Trial begins for murder committed at Morrison's 2
The criminal trial of a man who killed a 25-year-old youth at the Budapest Morrison's 2 nightclub in November 2024 began on Thursday at the Metropolitan Court. The defendant, A. László, killed F. Gábor Dominik with two forceful blows at the venue on Szent István körút.
Prison service officials led the perpetrator, a stonemason from Transylvania, into the courtroom in handcuffs and a lead line. The man walked past the victim's relatives with an expressionless face. Gábor Dominik's mother burst into tears when she saw her son's killer.
At the hearing, A. László produced a letter he had written to the murdered boy's parents. In it he spoke of dreaming of the victim every day and regretting what had happened. He added that if it were possible, he would gladly exchange places with the deceased's parents.
The victim's father told the 24.hu portal that the perpetrator had not asked for forgiveness from them either in person or through his lawyer. The family head believed the defendant would not admit guilt, but everything would soon come to light.
According to the grieving parents, their son was a kind-hearted man, and the perpetrator had no right to take his life.
