A nineteen-year-old person in Tiszaroff, in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county, committed an act during which he scattered several litres of fuel in one room of a residential building where two older relatives were present – according to a report by 24.hu.
The young man had previously threatened the lives of his mother and her live-in partner. The motive for the attack was that the victims refused to fulfil his request for cash. The flammable liquid poured into the room ignited, and the flames partially destroyed the property.
The county police headquarters launched an investigation on suspicion of attempted murder. The suspect partially admitted to the offence. Investigators placed him in custody and requested a court decision to have him remanded in temporary detention.
