The Budapest police III. district unit is conducting an investigation on suspicion of the offence of indecency against a 31-year-old man living in Budapest.

According to the investigation data, the suspect harassed multiple women on several occasions in Óbuda between 6 and 13 September 2014, in the first half of that month. The man crept up behind the victims, put his arms around them, and then verbally abused the victims. In every case, the women resisted and he fled.

On 13 September, one of them filed a report, following which BRFK staff identified the suspect and shortly afterwards arrested him at Római square. The man was questioned by police as a suspect.

The investigators took him into custody and requested that his pre-trial detention be ordered. Further investigation is being conducted by the III. district police station.
