State Audit Office President László Windisch initiates court proceedings to remove Ferenc Pál Bíró
The president of the State Audit Office has requested the removal of the Integrity Authority president in the Metropolitan Court of Justice, after the Central Prosecutor's Office filed charges against Ferenc Pál Bíró.

According to HVG reporting, László Windisch, president of the State Audit Office (ÁSZ), has filed a lawsuit in the Metropolitan Court of Justice seeking the termination of Ferenc Pál Bíró's employment relationship. The ÁSZ announced the step on Tuesday, citing the relevant provisions of the law concerning the oversight of European Union budget fund utilisation.
The filing of the lawsuit was directly preceded by the Central Prosecutor's Office submitting an indictment against Ferenc Pál Bíró in the Pest Central District Court. The Integrity Authority (IH) president is accused of abuse of office and forgery of public documents – these offences under the law preclude the holding of the IH president position.
Windisch stated last week that he was considering the possibility of filing the lawsuit. At that point, Péter Magyar also spoke out at Friday's government spokesman briefing, directing the following message to the State Audit Office president: "I wish the president well in all respects in his deliberations."
Previously, Windisch had not considered it timely to initiate proceedings. The charges have altered that position.
