Prosecutors have submitted lawsuits to courts over alleged unjustified enrichment – four municipal council members from Lazdijai, Rokiškis, Marijampolė and Panevėžys are to return nearly €38,000.

Law enforcement continues the so-called "vouchers" case. At the beginning of this week, the General Prosecutor's Office announced that it has applied to courts with civil claims demanding that politicians return allegedly illegally obtained funds.
In total, four municipal council members from Lazdijai, Rokiškis districts and Marijampolė and Panevėžys cities face claims seeking to recover nearly €38,000. These amounts are to be returned to the budgets of the respective municipalities.
One of the cases has already reached Marijampolė district court. The Kaunas Regional Prosecutor's Office is seeking to recover nearly €12,000 from Edmundas Razvickas, a council member of this city, for the benefit of the municipality. According to prosecutors, these funds were obtained illegally.
