On the morning of 11 June in Šiauliai, an aggressive man armed with an axe confronted police officers who had arrived in response to a domestic violence call. Two officers were injured during the apprehension.

On the morning of 11 June in Šiauliai, a report was received about violence in a domestic setting. Police officers who arrived at the scene were confronted by an aggressive man holding an axe in his hands.
Video footage shows that the officers urged the individual to put down the weapon and explained they had arrived to talk. However, the man not only failed to comply with their demands, but also approached one of the officers in a threatening manner.
The police had to use a Taser electroshock device. Although the special measure made it possible to disarm the man of the axe, the detained individual continued to actively resist and failed to comply with lawful orders.
During the incident, two officers sustained injuries. After receiving medical assistance, they are being treated on an outpatient basis.
