One incident was registered on A. J. Greimas Street. There, officers on duty spotted a twenty-five-year-old young man who, upon seeing the uniformed officers, dropped a serviette. When its contents were checked, a chemically-derived substance was found, possibly belonging to the narcotic category.
Another case occurred on A. Mickevičius Street, in a residential building courtyard. Here, officers questioned a twenty-year-old youth and discovered a roll with a plant-based substance on him, which could also be narcotic.
According to law enforcement data, similar investigations into unlawful narcotics in Šiauliai are initiated dozens of times per month.
