Police detained a 21-year-old Ukrainian citizen at the border crossing in Medyka. The man is suspected of murdering a 35-year-old countryman.

Officers detained a 21-year-old Ukrainian citizen at the border crossing in Medyka as he attempted to return to his country. The man is suspected of murdering a 35-year-old countryman.
The disappearance of the older man was reported by his sister. During the investigation, police established that the missing man had recently maintained contact with a certain woman. Investigators quickly directed suspicion towards her husband – a 21-year-old who may have been connected to the victim's disappearance.
In the vehicle belonging to the younger Ukrainian, officers discovered brownish traces. The car was sent for detailed examination to the Forensic Laboratory of the Capital Police Headquarters.
The suspect was detained at the border in Medyka whilst attempting to leave Polish territory. He was taken to the District Police Headquarters in Legionów, where further proceedings are being conducted.
The entire case is under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in Legionów. At the current stage of the investigation, formal charges have not yet been presented to the 21-year-old.
