On 19 June 2026, Warsaw's prosecutor's office submitted an indictment to court against four suspects, including renowned vocalist Dorota R. and producer Emil S.

According to the investigation findings, Emil S. obtained financing from people wishing to invest in the film industry. The funds were intended for the realisation of film productions, however none of the promised works ever came to light. The investors did not recover their invested amounts.

When they began demanding repayment, part of the money was allegedly redirected abroad – to an entity established in Malta, in which the producer's former wife was a shareholder.

Emil S. has been charged with 198 criminal offences, including fraud, embezzlement, obstruction of debt collection and money laundering. The man faces a maximum of 10 years in prison.

Dorota R. received an indictment for supporting activities aimed at preventing creditors from recovering amounts exceeding 12 million zloty. She faces up to 5 years in prison for this offence. Two other accused women face an identical sentence threat.

During the proceedings, assets worth more than 12 million zloty and nearly 60,000 euro were secured. These included cash, real estate, cars, watches and civil claims.
