The District Prosecutor's Office in Jędrzejów has issued a wanted notice for Dariusz Równicki, a former police officer suspected of murdering his 80-year-old father-in-law in Mierzawa in Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.

The District Prosecutor's Office in Jędrzejów has issued a search warrant for Dariusz Równicki. The 49-year-old, who previously wore the uniform, is suspected of taking the life of his 80-year-old father-in-law in Mierzawa (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship).
On Friday, 19 June, in the afternoon, an attack took place on an elderly married couple. The man died at the scene, whilst his 76-year-old wife was seriously injured and hospitalised. Medical staff describe the condition of the victim as very serious.
The suspect left the scene after committing the act. Officers from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Kielce are conducting a large-scale search. Nearly three hundred uniformed officers are taking part in the operation, including tracking dogs and a helicopter.
Authorities are appealing for any information that could help apprehend the man. Anyone with knowledge of Równicki's whereabouts can report to a specially established information line.
