On Sunday, officers from Dolice Police Station travelled to a house in Stargard County following a report of a dangerous household member. On the scene, it emerged that the 26-year-old was demolishing the premises and committing violence against family members.

The uniformed officers immediately encountered resistance. The young man was visibly agitated, addressed law enforcement officers with vulgarities and ignored their orders. At one point, he began pulling and striking the intervening police officers.

"He did not respond to repeated appeals to comply with the law," recalled asp. Wojciech Jędrych from the local police headquarters.

During a search of the detainee, a small bag containing white powder was discovered. The substance was secured for analysis in a laboratory.

The prosecutor charged the resident of Stargard County with assault causing medium bodily harm, insult, and assault on public officials during their duty, as well as possession of narcotic substances. Police supervision was applied to the accused. The case will soon be heard in court.

The ministry reminds that any attack on a police officer whilst performing duties is subject to strict criminal penalties.
