The District Court in Lublin-Zachód has ordered the three-month remand in custody of a 36-year-old Georgian national. The man is suspected of the murder of a Russian Federation citizen, which took place in Biała Podlaska.
On Friday the suspect was charged with murder. According to information provided by Lublin police, the man's defence lawyer stated that he denies the charges.
The case concerns Georgian national Elnur A., who was detained in connection with the death of a Russian artist. Details of the incident and the suspect's motive have not yet been disclosed by investigators.
The court's decision to apply the preventative measure of remand in custody was made on Saturday. The investigation into the matter is being conducted by the Lublin prosecutor's office.
