Resident of Przemyski county arrested for driving despite court bans
On Friday, after their shift ended, three officers from the Police Headquarters in Dubiecko stopped a 27-year-old man who, despite two valid court orders, got behind the wheel.
An exit from the car park after their shift proved eventful. Police officers recognised the man who got into a Volkswagen. A local officer knew that the resident of Przemyski county was subject to court restrictions on driving vehicles.
The officers gave chase. After a short distance the driver stopped. Law enforcement officers approached him and carried out an intervention. They then notified the duty officer, who dispatched a patrol to the scene.
A check revealed that the 27-year-old has two active decisions from the District Court in Jarosław which ban him from driving any motor vehicles.
For disregarding the court ban, the driver faces a penalty of up to 5 years' imprisonment.
