Officers from the Criminal Department in Dzierżoniów arrested a 36-year-old man at whose residence police discovered nearly 2.8 kilograms of psychoactive substances. The operation took place on 1 July of this year.

During the search of the premises, officers came across professional equipment for cannabis plant cultivation. Two cannabis plants and over 2,700 grammes of dried material, preliminarily identified as marijuana, were secured. Seeds were also found.

In the next phase of the search, additional substances were discovered: nearly 39 grammes of MDMA, 1.25 grammes of ketamine, 2.15 grammes of cocaine and nearly 18 grammes of hallucinogenic mushrooms.

The arrested man was charged with cannabis cultivation as well as possession of a substantial quantity of narcotic and psychotropic substances. These offences carry a prison sentence of up to 10 years. The final legal assessment and sentence will be determined by the court following the conclusion of proceedings, according to Dolnośląska Police.

As investigators have noted, each seized batch of drugs means reduced risk for residents of the county.
