Officers from the criminal division in Łowicz received information that someone might be concealing significant quantities of drugs in a forest complex in the Łyszkowice municipality. On 24 June, they detained a 33-year-old man in the act.
The man was storing substances in specially prepared containers hidden in the forest. During searches carried out with the assistance of a tracking dog, the criminal officers seized over four kilograms of amphetamine and mephedrone.
The investigators did not, however, conclude their operations. They searched another property in the Skierniewice county area. There they detained a 38-year-old man, who turned out to be wanted to serve a prison sentence. On him they found an additional 166 grams of various narcotic and psychoactive substances.
Both detainees were charged with possession of a significant quantity of drugs. The court decided to apply three-month remand in custody against them. For this type of offence, they face a sentence of up to ten years' imprisonment.
