During a domestic dispute in Łękawica near Wadowice, a man around 20 years old stabbed his 48-year-old father with a knife. The injured man was transported to hospital, and the perpetrator was found in the forest with the aid of a police helicopter.

On Saturday around 6:30 a.m., police officers from Wadowice district received a report of a domestic disturbance at one of the houses in Łękawica. During a domestic argument, a young man aged around twenty years reached for a knife and attacked his own father.
The victim, a 48-year-old man, was transported to hospital. According to preliminary information provided by Deputy Superintendent Iwona Szelichiewicz of Kraków police, the man was conscious during transport. The victim's state of health has not been specified at this time.
After committing the act, the perpetrator fled in the direction of a nearby forest. Police immediately launched a large-scale search operation. Numerous patrols, tracking dogs, drones and a police Bell helicopter took part in the operation.
A few minutes before noon, the helicopter crew located the suspect in a forested area. Officers detained the young man and transported him to the police station in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. Further procedural actions were conducted with him there.
Staff Aspirant Dariusz Stelmaszuk from Wadowice police headquarters confirmed the detention of the perpetrator. The case is ongoing, and investigators are clarifying the exact circumstances and motives of this family tragedy.
