In Ostrowsko, three perpetrators used violence against a 30-year-old Belarusian citizen and then stole a watch and money. Police from Nowy Targ detained a 23-year-old, and a 19-year-old was previously arrested. The stolen timepiece has been recovered by investigators.

A brutal robbery of a Belarusian citizen took place in the town of Ostrowsko. Police from Nowy Targ County detained another suspect – a 23-year-old resident of the region. A 19-year-old had previously fallen into the hands of officers.

The incident occurred on 28 June. According to initial police investigation findings, three men acting jointly and in agreement used physical violence against the 30-year-old from Belarus. They brought the victim to a defenceless state, after which they took his watch and cash.

Thanks to intensive operational activities carried out by officers from the County Police Headquarters in Nowy Targ, it was possible to detain the 23-year-old. During the proceedings, the stolen timepiece was recovered and secured as evidence.

One of the detainees turned out to be a person wanted to serve a prison sentence. Following the completion of procedural steps, he was taken directly to a penal institution.

The entire investigation is overseen by the District Prosecutor's Office in Nowy Targ. Officers are continuing operational and procedural work with the aim of thoroughly clarifying the circumstances of the crime and determining the role of each participant. The criminal code provides for a sentence of up to 15 years' imprisonment for robbery.
