Woman charged with murder of her partner in Bayamón neighbourhood
According to telemundopr.com, the Department of Justice presented two criminal charges on Saturday against Gisselle Alexandra Sustache Villegas for the death of her husband, John Manuel Cosme Hernández, 45 years old. The incident occurred at a residence in the Santa Juanita neighbourhood in Bayamón.
The investigation by the Bayamón Prosecutor's Office determined that Sustache Villegas allegedly wounded Cosme Hernández with a knife in the area of the left clavicle, causing his death. The blade was seized by authorities.
The charges brought against her include one for murder and another for violation of Puerto Rico's Weapons Law, related to the use of the blade to commit the crime.
Judge Najda Banuchi Ramos, of the Court of First Instance in Bayamón, found probable cause for arrest on both charges and set a total bail of $50,000. The defendant was taken into custody immediately. The preliminary hearing was scheduled for 5 November.
