Brazilian linked to PCC released in Lisbon due to lack of legal grounds
The Lisbon Court of Appeal decided, this Wednesday, to order the release of a Brazilian citizen identified by authorities as a leading member of the First Command of the Capital (PCC). Ygor Daniel Zago, who also goes by the nickname "Hulk", had his detention status changed due to the absence of sufficient legal grounds to maintain it.
The foreigner has connections to the illegal cocaine trade, a crime that in his country of origin resulted in a 29-year prison sentence. Despite this history, the decision by the Portuguese judicial body resulted in his immediate release.
According to reports, the man is now out of the prison facility.
