Family drug trafficking network dismantled in Évora, 23 detained
The PSP dismantled a family drug trafficking network in Évora, detaining 23 people, including minors. Drugs, weapons, 11,000 euros and eight vehicles were seized.

Correio da Manhã reports that a PSP operation in Évora resulted in the detention of 23 people suspected of being part of an organised family drug trafficking network. On Thursday, 15 of those detained are to be informed of the coercive measures applied.
Of the 23 detained, 17 were brought before the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DIAP) in Évora. Two women were subsequently released, with the remaining 15 awaiting judicial decision.
Sub-commissioner Nuno Albardeiro, of the Criminal Investigation Unit in Évora, described the group's structure as "an organised family network, where each person had their role". Albardeiro added that "minors may have participated in the crimes".
Drug deliveries took place "throughout the city, but also on the outskirts", according to the same police official. As part of the operation, the PSP seized drugs, weapons, 11,000 euros in cash and eight vehicles.
