Woman, 40, stabbed to death by partner in Mafra, suspect detained
A woman was stabbed to death by her partner early on Wednesday evening in Mafra. The suspect was detained on the street, wearing pyjamas and holding a knife.

According to CNN Portugal, a 40-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her 35-year-old partner early on Wednesday evening in Mafra, in Lisbon district. The crime is believed to have occurred in a domestic violence context.
The alert reached the GNR through members of the public after the suspect was spotted on the street wearing pyjamas and holding a knife. The Guarda Nacional Republicana proceeded to detain him at the scene.
When emergency services arrived at the residence where the crime occurred, the victim showed no signs of life.
The investigation was handed over to the Polícia Judiciária, which is now seeking to establish the circumstances in which the homicide took place.
