A 37-year-old man was detained by police on Saturday after causing a disturbance at the emergency admissions unit of Botoșani County Hospital, according to Digi24.
The man, who presented at the emergency unit with a head injury, was dissatisfied that he was not receiving medical care on an emergency basis. Due to the waiting time, he directed insulting words and expressions at medical staff and destroyed a printer in the waiting room.
According to Botoșani Police Inspectorate, through his behaviour the man offended the dignity of the persons involved and disturbed public order and peace. Initially, he was under investigation only for destruction of property, but police subsequently expanded the investigation, adding a charge of disturbing public order and peace.
The man was detained for 24 hours.
