Uruguayan authorities have successfully captured a 27-year-old individual with a previous criminal history, after he carried out a robbery at a commercial establishment in the country, according to information published by the Ministry of the Interior on its GUB.UY portal.

The operation was triggered following an alert about the crime. Officers deployed patrols in the surrounding area and located the suspected offender near the location where the robbery occurred, bringing him forcibly before the courts.

At the time of arrest, police personnel seized various items from him: sixty-one packets of tobacco of different brands, a sum of approximately nine thousand Uruguayan pesos in cash, and several clothing items.

Later, in the vicinity of Camino Anaya and Mauricio Llamas street, specifically beneath a viaduct, agents found clothing that was supposedly used to conceal his identity during the robbery, along with a replica pistol.

The accused, whose initials are E. N. A. M., had previously faced legal proceedings. The Flagrancy Prosecutor's Office of the fifth shift took charge of the case and ordered the necessary investigative measures to clarify the facts.
