A 29-year-old man was sentenced to serve four years and three months in prison for two robberies with violence and intimidation perpetrated during 2022 in the Barros Blancos area.
The offences occurred when personnel from Section 25 detained Jonathan Sebastián Calvo Amaral in July of that year. At that time, it was established that he had committed a robbery on Los Naranjos street, where he used threats to steal belongings from a woman. Additionally, his responsibility was confirmed in another assault on a veterinary clinic located at kilometre 26 of Route 8.
Following the formalisation of the case, in recent days the defendant was brought before the court again, which imposed the sentence for two counts of robbery with real repetition. The sentenced man has three previous criminal records: two for theft and one for robbery.
