Police seize more than three kilogrammes of drugs in Cauceglia operation
An operation carried out by officers of Section 24, under the Operational Zone IV of the capital, concluded with the seizure of a significant drug shipment. The agents were patrolling the Cauceglia area in search of a stolen vehicle when they came across a car that caught their attention.
Three people were travelling inside the automobile. Upon noticing the police presence, the occupants altered their behaviour in a suspicious manner, which prompted the uniformed officers to intercept them.
After identifying the three passengers—two men and a woman—the officers proceeded to inspect a bag that the woman was holding in the rear of the car. There they discovered multiple packages sealed with yellow tape that contained vegetable material with characteristics similar to those of marijuana.
Along with the alleged drugs, the investigators collected a precision scale and two smartphones as evidence. The three individuals involved were apprehended and placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.
