Man arrested in alleged small-scale drug dealing operation in Federación
Officers from the Dangerous Drugs Division broke into a house on Calle Las Rosas in the city of Federación on Friday night. The operation took place after 7:30 pm, as part of an investigation into the sale of prohibited substances being handled by prosecutor Josefina Penon and judge of guarantees Ángel Fornerón.
Upon entering the residence, uniformed officers found a group of twelve individuals — both men and women — who were present at the location. Following a thorough search, agents found envelopes containing cocaine hydrochloride, as confirmed by rapid field tests. At the same time, they discovered packages of marijuana that also tested positive in the initial examinations.
The seizure also included a series of objects that could be linked to distribution: more than five mobile phones, pieces of paper, scissors, and a plate with residues believed to be cocaine. All the material was packaged and secured for expert analysis.
After consulting the judge involved, the arrest of the individual identified as the leader of the illicit activity was ordered. He was taken to the local police station, where he remained pending judicial decisions.
The investigation remains active. Investigators are analysing the seized goods and proceeding with the corresponding procedural measures.
