Security personnel conducting patrols in an area of Montevideo spotted a man with suspicious behaviour and proceeded to intercept him for a check.
After searching him, officers seized two packets of white material, a spoon with residue of the same substance, and a bag containing 957 pesos in cash.
The individual was taken to a police station and handed over to the judicial authorities. Following the hearing, the judge found him responsible for dealing illegal substances in exchange for money and imposed a sentence of twenty-four months of imprisonment in a penitentiary regime.
