Police officers seized a pistol and a revolver after intercepting two vehicles in an area with high incidence of robberies.

Personnel from Police Section 8 were conducting preventive patrols at the intersection of Coronel Raíz and Ruta 102, an area affected by frequent robberies, when they spotted two vehicles that aroused their suspicion.
Upon intercepting one of the vehicles, the uniformed officers managed to apprehend one of the occupants. The second attempted to escape by running, though he was captured minutes later at Coronel Raíz and Camino José Durán. During the flight, he abandoned two short weapons whose serial numbers had been erased.
In the operation, one pistol with two magazines, one revolver with six rounds, fifteen additional cartridges and the two vehicles involved were seized.
The Prosecutor's Office of 15th Shift was notified of the case and ordered that both defendants be placed in judicial custody whilst investigations continue.
