During an operation in central Concordia, police seized a firearm that had been stolen from a police commissioner in Entre Ríos in 2018, along with over one kilogramme of cocaine. One man was arrested.

A series of operations carried out on Thursday morning in central Concordia enabled security forces to seize a brick of cocaine exceeding one kilogramme, along with a pistol listed as stolen from a senior officer of the Entre Ríos Police Department, Argentina.
The judicial investigation, which was investigating alleged acts of intimidation and unlawful restriction of liberty, was coordinated by Public Ministry representative Daniela Montangie and magistrate Francisco Ledesma. Both authorised proceedings that included home searches, body inspections and vehicle inspections in various central areas.
The raids were carried out at properties located at the intersections of Perú with Rawson, Balcarce with Perú, and at a men's barbershop near Alberdi and Urquiza. At those locations, officers managed to seize a mobile device and a small amount of cannabis, equivalent to 13 grammes.
The most significant discovery was made when examining a Volkswagen Vento automobile. Inside, officers found a solid block of 1,026 grammes of cocaine. In addition, they found a semi-automatic 9-millimetre pistol, Hi-Power M95 model, which since November 2018 had maintained an active seizure order for having been illegally removed from a police commissioner of the security force of the neighbouring Argentine province.
On the instruction of the prosecution, the seizure of the vehicle and the arrest of an adult subject were ordered. This individual, furthermore, was wanted on a pending apprehension order which was executed during the same operation. The charges against him include carrying a military weapon and possession of drugs intended for illegal sale.
