St. Lucia man extradited to Martinique for armed robbery and firearms charges

Law enforcement officials in Saint Lucia have extradited Jahvis Marlon Alfred, a 26-year-old resident of Wiltons Yard, Castries, to the French island of Martinique, where he faces multiple serious criminal charges, thevoiceslu.com reports.

Alfred surrendered to French authorities on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The transfer was carried out under established legal cooperation agreements between Saint Lucia and France.

French authorities sought Alfred on multiple counts of armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, possession of firearms and ammunition, and other firearm-related offences. He had already been sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Criminal Court of Martinique on November 19, 2021.

Alfred was arrested during a law enforcement operation on February 7, 2026, and held at the Bordelais Correctional Facility under a provisional arrest warrant while extradition proceedings were completed.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force said it remains committed to working with regional and international partners to support investigations and judicial proceedings across borders.
