Missing girl Kristina Ginova: Leicestershire Police issue urgent appeal

Urgent appeal for missing Kristina Ginova, last seen in Leicester and Melton area

Leicestershire Police have issued an urgent appeal for information on the whereabouts of Kristina Ginova, saying officers are "increasingly concerned" for her welfare, meltontimes.co.uk reports.

Kristina was last seen on Tuesday leaving the cinema at the Meridian Leisure Park in Leicester at 1.45pm. A subsequent sighting, believed to be at a Sainsbury's on Nottingham Road, was recorded later that same evening. CCTV footage from the supermarket, released by police, shows Kristina in the company of a blonde-haired girl between 6pm and 7pm on Tuesday.

A further report placed her crossing the road on Norman Way in Melton — in the direction of Beckmill Court — at just before 2pm on Wednesday.

Kristina is described as 5ft 5ins tall with long dark hair and tanned skin. She was wearing grey leggings when she was last observed.

Police believe she remains in the Melton area.

Detective Sergeant Imran Isat, from Leicestershire Police's Missing Persons team, said: "I am encouraged by the sighting of Kristina on CCTV and would like to appeal directly to her to get in touch and let us know she is safe and well. Equally, I would ask the girl pictured with Kristina to contact us. Let us know where Kristina is so we can check she is ok."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 332 of 21 May.
