Dublin man shot dead in car park by parents-in-law, couple arrested

A 40-year-old man was shot dead in the car park of the Dublin Sports Grounds on Saturday afternoon, with his own parents-in-law detained as the prime suspects, nbcbayarea.com reports.

A Dublin Police Services sergeant driving near the facility spotted Jonathan McKinsey of Dublin lying on the ground at approximately 3:08 p.m. and stopped to investigate. At the same moment, dispatch received multiple calls reporting the incident.

Responding officers found McKinsey in the middle of the car park with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two suspects were located and detained shortly afterwards. Police identified them as Shouyong Zhang, 77, and Shili Chen, 77 — a married couple and McKinsey's parents-in-law.

Dublin Police Services confirmed on Sunday that the investigation is ongoing.
